Scorpio Forecast for September 2009

This will be one of those crazy months, when Murphy's Law will prevail: "If it can happen, it will happen." You will need to check all your assumptions to be sure you are being realistic. Sometime during the month, you will be given information you did not have before, and when it comes it may shock or surprise you, but even so, it is the way the universe will work to protect you. You will also have an opportunity to help others, and it appears you will be more than ready to do so.

Foreign shores will beckon all month, and with your career due to heat up in the best way in coming months, if you have not yet taken a holiday, you'd be wise to book one now while you will be able to do so quite easily.

You seem to be moving around on quite a lot of public conveyances this month, more than usual, whether around town or going to other cities, so make sure you have not left a treasured electronic item behind before you leave the taxi, train, bus, or airplane.

All month, communication will be clouded or the information that comes to you faulty, so you will need to go to more than one source for your most important information. People around you will be indecisive too, but in that regard, be patient and don't push. Everything will clear up in October, but for now, September will be a month to carefully watch and wait, and not make any key decisions or announcements quite yet.

Part of the problem will be that Mercury will be retrograde throughout September. Technically Mercury will only be shut down from September 7 to 29, but you will feel the effects of this weak Mercury earlier, from the moment September begins. Expect to have to deal with rescheduling issues and revisions to projects. With change in the air, no one will know what direction things will take, so sit tight.

It's also not a time to buy anything expensive, and certainly not anything with moving parts, such as a car or computer, but I would avoid furniture and jewelry purchases, too. Don't get pricey furniture delivered during the retrograde, not unless you can be there to inspect them, as things may arrive damaged.

Mercury retrograde will have good effect in that it will tour your friendship house, encouraging you to reconnect with friends you've not seen in a long time, possibly over many years. If you do see someone from your past, it may be that the two of you need to do something more together in the future. If you have had a difference with a friend, you may decide to go back to that issue of long ago and try to resolve it now.

As the month begins, you will be happy to have Mars, your ruler, in divinely compatible Cancer, lighting your ninth house of study and travel. This is a house that helps us see the bigger picture to things, and to make grand plans, in an effort to broaden our life experience. You seem to be hungry for new sights, sounds, and stimulation in general, and curious about how you can create richer experiences to your life.

The ninth house, so lit up for you all month, is the area of the chart that requires that we make preparations. In that sense, for example, if we hope to travel, we have to get a passport and a number of maps, and perhaps go to the bank to get some foreign money. If we want to go to college, we must take exams, fill out forms, schedule interviews with officials, and so forth.

As you see, this is a house that helps us commit to bigger life goals, decide on the methods we will need to reach them, and then to begin to initiate actions. You can draw up plans now, but with Mercury retrograde, it would be best to wait before you set things in stone. Up ahead you will want to make a few more changes.

Let's also now look at the enchanting full moon in highly compatible Pisces, September 4.

This full moon will light your house of romance, so you should have a highly enjoyable weekend in store, one that may turn out quite memorable. Keep in mind that this will be your one and only full moon in your love sector, so it's very special, and fortunate. You may plan to go to a special festivity, or you may even be on vacation with someone you love. If single, you may meet someone new on this full moon - if so, take things slow and easy, even if you have to hold yourself back. You are planning for a long future, right? No need to rush. Something about this moment should be special and quite romantic.

Of course I cannot see everything in your chart, so if you have had problems with the one you love, things may reach a point where you need to clear the air. I feel bad saying this, because this moment of the month truly does look enchanting.

Your creative side will also be touched on this full moon, September 4. You may be finishing up an important project that you are ready to ship or present to others. Allow a plus or minus of four days to this date. This means the whole span of time, from September 1 to 8, could bring up talks about this project.

It will be the perfect time to wrap it up, for you should get an enthusiastic response from others. In fact, there's a good possibility that you will be dealing with the press and gaining enviable publicity for your creative product, or that foreign people or places will factor into the equation somehow, too. If you are a writer or producer, you may be dealing with a publishing or broadcasting company, and all of it should make you smile.

If you are going back to college or graduate school in September, it appears you'll have all your paperwork finished, classes selected, the financials concerning tuition settled, and your move-in to the dorm completed by the full moon weekend of September 4.

Were you born within five days of November 4? Then you will benefit most from this lovely point in the month.

If Mercury retrograde were the only glitch that happens with September, it would be fairly easy to navigate, but it is not.

Complications will crop up from September 15 to 23 due to some very turbulent planetary storms that are about to blow through all our lives. Before I tell you about how this will affect you, keep in mind that Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, and Sagittarius who were born at the end of their signs, between the 15th and 22nd of the month, will feel what is to come the most, not you.

Usually aspects like these, taken individually, aren't so hard to deal with, but they will all come at each of us at once within one time period, September 15 to 23. It will be a somber time, when the universe will remind you several times that you need to stay objective and realistic in all things, but especially matters of love and friendship. That is never easy to do, for these are highly emotional areas of life.

Your first inkling that something is up will come on September 15 when Saturn will oppose Uranus. Saturn will be positioned in your house of friendship, and Uranus in your fifth house of love. This aspect will set the tone for several aspects to come as the days unfold.

Your aim should be to decide about who is worthy of your devotion, and who is not. You may get some information during this period that changes the way you view someone you have been close to platonically or romantically.

This fifth house also rules creative projects, but in this case the emphasis will bring up your need to balance your most innovative, creative, artistic expressions (ruled by Uranus) within the practical realities of budget and time constraints (ruled by Saturn). Only you can decide what to do if this applies to you, but you seem to have to make some sort of compromise. Again, this is not easy, for Saturn will be the establishment ("the suits") and Uranus, the creative ideas that you don't want to water down.

Alternatively, in your personal life, you may be temporarily caught off balance by a surprise pregnancy. If reading this causes you anxiety, just be extra careful in early September.

Your hardest day of the month - possibly of the year - will arrive September 17, for at that time both Saturn and Uranus will be acting difficult toward the Sun. Saturn will conjoin the Sun, making for a potentially depressing day, when you have to accept certain realities whether you want to or not. This will happen in your friendship house.

At the same time, Uranus will oppose the Sun, possibly causing you to hear words from a lover or friend that make you upset or that seem very out of character for this person to say. The episode will surface out of nowhere and you will not see it coming, so understandably it will have quite a jarring effect on your nerves. This aspect is known to cause separations, so something you learn could suddenly create a parting of the ways.

The Sun rules your solar tenth house of fame and honors, so at the same time you could have some adverse news about your career, or get into a disagreement with your boss, client, or other authority figure. Your words will have special weight at this time, so try not to fly off the handle on or near September 17. It won't be easy to take back your words, but then again, you may not want to!

Concerning your career, you may be a bit frightened by what happens during this rocky week, especially near September 17, but it will help to know that by October, you will have sorted things out, and be back on a fast career track. This bears repeating. Even though you seem rocked by a professional episode that hits you broadside near this date of September 17, you seem to be able to make some excellent decisions about it, and recover quite nicely.

Financially, you will see a welcome uptick in profits or in your ability to earn a better salary once Pluto, your ruler, goes direct on September 11. Pluto has been in weak, retrograde form since April 4, so if you have found salary negotiations to be tough in recent months, you now know why. Your financial outlook will get better in weeks to come, and it will stay strong until April 2010.

If you've volunteered to hold a major office or committee in a club or charity, you will most likely take on your new duties in the days that follow September 18. It will represent a very responsible job that comes along with a bit of pressure, but only until you ease into your role and have mastered all its various facets. If you take it on, you will undeniably learn a great deal, and you may even be able to use what you learn at your "real job" later.

The very next day, September 18, Uranus and Saturn will come looking for the new moon. Remarkably, again Uranus and Saturn are acting like thugs, with Uranus to oppose that moon, and Saturn will conjoin it. Again, the atmosphere around you will be both tense and somber, only this time the universe will be asking you what you want to do about all you've learned.

This new moon will appear in your friendship house, but because the planetary mood will be rather practical, and somewhat heavy and weighty, I feel that it's likely that one of your friends will need your advice, perhaps due to a personal crisis she or he unexpectedly encountered. If your friend needs your help, don't wave her off - her problem will be serious. It is likely that you will need to be involved in helping her (or him) for several months, so don't assume your commitment to help will be short-term.

This new moon on September 18 will also ask you to decide on a plan of action involving your love relationship if you are single and dating, or in regard to a friend. This won't be easy, and perhaps not even possible. You can expect that there'll be much static in the air, so it will be hard to concentrate. There's no rule that says you have to decide - take your time - and if possible, table things until October.

There is one more planetary vibe coming up, and that will arrive on September 23, when Mercury will oppose Uranus. As said earlier, Mercury will be in a debilitated state now that it's retrograde, but to be confronted by Uranus too is overwhelming. The possibility for miscommunication or misunderstandings will be quite high on this day.

This aspect is a little like being in bed with a miserable cold and having your agitated friend, boss, or relative call to chide you for something he thinks you did (but actually you are quite innocent of), and all the while, having to instantly defend yourself while under the strong cough medicine you just took! Not easy!

On this day, September 23, a friend may upset you with a comment she or he blurts out about you or someone you are dating. In fact, this comment could even be about your child, which would really make you see red. (Mercury is words, text, and communication in general, and like the Mercury in a thermometer will respond to its environment instantly.)

The best way to deal with this aspect on September 23 is to not have too much on your schedule and also not provoke anyone at this time. Open the window and see what flies in, but keep your defenses up and don't go looking for trouble, or it will find you.

Remember, agree to nothing in September, and certainly do not sign any contracts this month!

I cannot remember so many dramatic planetary aspects coming toward us in such a tiny period of time. You will see wild weather on the news, with earthquakes, hurricanes, or mud slides possible during this week of September 15 to 23. I promise things will improve in October!

Romantically this month is due to either be a rollercoaster or quite lovely, for so much depends on what happens over the full moon, September 4, and then later, what you hear from friends or your lover in that week of September 15 to 23. Although travel is written all over your chart, do all you can to avoid travel during this volatile week.

As said earlier, this will be a month where reality is brought to each of us full force, only in different parts of our lives. It's a time to let go of false hopes and see things as they really are, dear Scorpio. In that sense, although September will have its moments, by month's end you'll be able to put your life on a firmer ground and to secure your future happiness.

Summary

August was a big month for your career and you may have taken a new job or seen an interesting offer come up. This month, however, Mercury will be retrograde from September 7 to 29, so if you are still having talks, you may see them stall. Remain optimistic. The people you will be talking to will have changes going on within their organizations and will not know what is expected of them or how to proceed. Do not exert pressure - let things take their natural course, for this is how you will do best.

With your secondary ruler, Mars, moving through your ninth house, you will benefit from travel and the opportunity to be in a completely new setting. You will have a rare opportunity to go to a foreign country. If you can spare a week or two, pack your bag because September will be your best month to go.

The full moon September 4 (operative plus four days) will bring a romantic relationship to full blossom. This full moon will be quite special, so you should be excited about what is revealed. You may be on a trip with someone you love and at the time be returning home by September 7 or 8 - if so, this would be a lovely way to experience this full moon in poetic Pisces. If you can't travel, plan a wonderful dinner to celebrate your love and to enjoy the final days of summer.

Socially there appears to be bit of drama brewing, so be watchful - it may erupt in mid-September. A friend - or a sweetheart - may be at odds with you on nobody's favorite day, September 17.

At the very same time, you may also have a very difficult or touchy situation with your boss or client. The situation could heat up rapidly and leave your nerves raw. Be careful what you say and how you say it. With Uranus doing battle with the Sun, your words and actions may leave lasting scars that may not be mended in time.

September 23 is due to be another trying day for your personal relationships, so by all means, don't rock the boat on this day.

You may also be asked to do a favor for a friend in serious need of help. If so, this would happen just after the new moon September 18 and the two weeks that follow.

If it is not a friend who needs your support and wise advice, it may be that you will accept a leadership position in a club or charity. You will feel the weight of all you have taken on in the weeks following September 18.

No doubt about it, in the days that follow September 18, the promises you make will be quite serious, weighty, and long lasting. At the same time, it will also be clear that by accepting these responsibilities, you will experience personal growth, and you seem ready to do so.

Mercury also rules communication, so the chances of being misunderstood by your present-day friends may increase - be careful. This could explain the problem you may encounter on September 18, and again on September 23, another difficult day for friendship and love.

One bonus of Mercury going retrograde in a friendship sector (as you will have this month) is that you will meet up with old friends unexpectedly - on the street, in restaurants, and in other random ways - and be really thrilled to see them. That's always fun. You will have time to catch up, too.

Dates to Note:

The full moon of September 4, plus four days, should bring a major moment of the year for love. A relationship will reach culmination and it could prove to be a magical moment for you.

International travel should be a fun possibility this month, and in fact, the full moon may bring a romantic trip.

Your career may have shown exciting signs of life last month and you will want to follow up on leads in September. Due to Mercury retrograde (September 7 to 29) however, your interviews will drag and answers will be nearly impossible to get. Do not pressure anyone for answers. September would not be a good time to accept or start a new job. No matter what you are told about your job description of the new position, it will soon change, and perhaps not in a way you like. Wait to give your answer in October. By mid-October and beyond, offers will likely be better, and more prestigious.

September 17 is due to be a very difficult day for your career. News could be upsetting or unfair, or arrive in a very strange way.

Friendship and love could also hit the skids on September 17. Nothing seems to be going right.

On or just after the new moon September 18, a friend may ask you to do a favor that he or she needs you to do - and you should accept. Your friend seems to be in a major crisis and in need of your support, advice, and possibly contacts as well.

September 23 is another tough day for friendship or love. Do nothing to start - or inflame - an altercation.

Mercury will be retrograde all month, from September 7 to 29 - never a good time to launch anything new.
